A Pathways for PhDs Session
14 May 2019, 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Sidney Smith Hall, Dean’s Conference Room
The Faculty of Arts & Science’s Milestones and Pathways program is hosting Exploring Careers Off the Tenure Track, a half-day career workshop and information session on Tuesday 14 May 2019, from 9:30 am to 1 pm, for doctoral candidates considering careers outside the traditional academic job market. A light lunch will be provided.
By surveying profiles of recent Arts & Science graduates who have excelled in other industries, this session will introduce participants to multiple career options available to PhDs beyond tenure-track academic positions. It will also offer strategies for translating academic research skills into other industries.
This session is open exclusively to current doctoral candidates in Faculty of Arts & Science units. To participate in this session, please register before noon on Thursday 9 May 2019. Space is limited to approximately 20 participants. If you have any questions about being placed on a waitlist or the Milestones and Pathways program, please contact Joel Rodgers, Milestones and Pathways Coordinator, Faculty of Arts & Science (email@example.com).
